Before we get started on our prayer requests, one more plea for someone to handle the prayer requests this coming Sunday (7/22) and the Preschool SS class Gayle and I teach at 8 AM (3, 4 & 5 year olds...had 6 kids this past Sunday and that has been our highest count). We can e-mail you the lesson plan. Now on to our prayer requests:
1. The Blum's - continued prayer for Colleen's recovery from kidney stone surgery last week. Scott is having surgery on his foot, pray everything goes well and he recovers well. We prayed in class for Adam's safety during his return trip from New Mexico.
2. Lee McCall - contact of Clay Farris', admitted to the hospital, pray for recovery.
3. Nathan - Chris Via's brother's 3 1/2 year old son. He is in the hospital with a serious infection, pray for recovery and healing.
4. Jermaine - boy on Pedro Knight's basketball team, his mom has stage 4 cancer. He is handling it remarkable well, pray for peace for him in the situation and pray for his mom.
5. Jen Yokley - traveling for 5 days...pray for her safety and for Charlie and the kids.
6. Brenda & Barry Corbett - mom and stepdad of Jennifer French (young woman who recently passed). Custody of Jennifer's kids, pray that God will provide a way for Brenda and Barry to maintain custody.
7. Jason & Eric - Uganda mission trip for 10 days...pray for safety to, while there and on their return. Pray the name of Jesus will be glorified.
8. Jordan Family - cyclist killed on 401, pray for his wife Angela and their sons. Also pray for his co-workers as they also struggle with the loss of some dear to them.
9. Stacy - 1 year cancer free, but struggle with his state of mind, pray for clarity.
10. LaToya - cousin of Roxanne's, trying to gain full custody of her brother, who has special needs. She has been his only caregiver, but there are others seeking custody for the wrong reasons (do not have his best interest at heart). Pray God moves in LaToya's favor.
11. Rising Star - Roxanne & Pedro's school, having a significant increase in people seeking to place their children in Rising Star (school offers scholarships), but there is just not enough space. Pray God will provide.
Praises:
1. Ken Mercer - Matt's dad, recovering well from his fall.
2. Marjorie Mercer - Matt's mom, heart procedure went well.
3. Glen and Shelley Goff - 22nd Anniversary, congrats!
