Black History month in Theology

-----Black History month in Theology------
This year, I want to introduce contemporary theologians. I commend to you the book Glory Road. It is an anthology of writings from outstanding Reformed Evangelical theologians who happen to be black.

-Week 1- writing comes from Thabiti Anyabwile. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 2 - Our journey brings us to Emmanuel Kolini, Archbishop of Rwanda, in the Anglican church. He was instrumental in the explosion of ministry in the North American church. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 3 - I want to introduce you to Voddie Baucham, Senior Pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church, Spring, Texas. Here is his article.

-Extra installment - This is an extra installment of our February focus. I have included this article because what Dr. Fred Luter is about to accomplish is enormously significant. He is set to become the first black president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Amen and amen!!!!!!!!

Praise/prayer Requests

Below are the prayer requests:    

1.  Shelley is ill with a migraine. Pray for healing.
2.  Heather is pregnant and preterm labor. Pray for relief of stress and for safety of child during this time.
3.  Dan has a new job offer he is considering. Pray for wisdom and to hear God's voice during consideration.
4.  Charles, recently out of the military, is searching. Pray for God's voice to be heard and for His plan for Charles to be revealed to him.
5.  Scott and Colleen give praise for God getting them through recent medical issues and travel.
6.  Pray for Rainey, a 33 year old man with a tumor between his heart and lungs.  He is beginning chemo. Pray for healing and comfort.
