Black History month in Theology

-----Black History month in Theology------
This year, I want to introduce contemporary theologians. I commend to you the book Glory Road. It is an anthology of writings from outstanding Reformed Evangelical theologians who happen to be black.

-Week 1- writing comes from Thabiti Anyabwile. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 2 - Our journey brings us to Emmanuel Kolini, Archbishop of Rwanda, in the Anglican church. He was instrumental in the explosion of ministry in the North American church. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 3 - I want to introduce you to Voddie Baucham, Senior Pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church, Spring, Texas. Here is his article.

-Extra installment - This is an extra installment of our February focus. I have included this article because what Dr. Fred Luter is about to accomplish is enormously significant. He is set to become the first black president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Amen and amen!!!!!!!!

Praise / Prayer Requests

Praying you each are having a great week.  Here are our prayer requests for this week:

1.  Sue - having knee replacement surgery this week, pray the surgery goes well and for
           her recovery.
2.  Byron - Harry Terrill's brother passed away unexpectedly this past weekend.  Prayers
               for the peace for the family.
3.  Teresa - Chris Howard's aunt, she is back on the kidney transplant list and is #1 on the
             list.  Prayers for her as she waits.
4.  Dan Duffield - job opportunity with the DOT, pray that everything works out.
5.  Jodi Duffield - looking for a job, pray that she is able to find something that works well
            for the family.


Praises:

1.  The Howard's new grandbaby is doing well.
2.  Braydon - Misty Cash's stepbrother is doing well in treatment.

3.  Gayle's nephew's wife is expecting twins.
