Black History month in Theology

-----Black History month in Theology------
This year, I want to introduce contemporary theologians. I commend to you the book Glory Road. It is an anthology of writings from outstanding Reformed Evangelical theologians who happen to be black.

-Week 1- writing comes from Thabiti Anyabwile. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 2 - Our journey brings us to Emmanuel Kolini, Archbishop of Rwanda, in the Anglican church. He was instrumental in the explosion of ministry in the North American church. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 3 - I want to introduce you to Voddie Baucham, Senior Pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church, Spring, Texas. Here is his article.
-Week 4 - Our final selection of writing comes from Louis C. Love, Jr. He contributed an article entitled "The Doors of the Church Are Opened!" for the book, Glory Road. The following story includes a link to hear him speak about his journey. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Extra installment - This is an extra installment of our February focus. I have included this article because what Dr. Fred Luter is about to accomplish is enormously significant. He is set to become the first black president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Amen and amen!!!!!!!!

Praise / Prayer Requests

Here are our prayer requests for this week:
 
1.  Katherine - Allyson's daughter, needs prayer for life decisions that need to be made.
2.  Chad - recipient of Eric Frye's kidney donation, having a reaction to one of the medications he is taking.  Pray that this can be brought under control and that it will not affect his kidney.
3.  Daniels Family - Grandmother passing, Salvation for sons, rehab for a grandson.  Pray for this family.
4.  Sean Smith - recovering from hernia surgery, but in pain.  Pray for his recovery.
5.  Grayson - having lots of issues, needs much prayer.
6.  Mark Tillery's Dad - heart surgery. 
7. Gayle - possible new client, loss of one of her other clients.  Pray God's will.
