Black History month in Theology

-----Black History month in Theology------
This year, I want to introduce contemporary theologians. I commend to you the book Glory Road. It is an anthology of writings from outstanding Reformed Evangelical theologians who happen to be black.

-Week 1- writing comes from Thabiti Anyabwile. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 2 - Our journey brings us to Emmanuel Kolini, Archbishop of Rwanda, in the Anglican church. He was instrumental in the explosion of ministry in the North American church. Enjoy the link to his outstanding article.
-Week 3 - I want to introduce you to Voddie Baucham, Senior Pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church, Spring, Texas. Here is his article.

-Extra installment - This is an extra installment of our February focus. I have included this article because what Dr. Fred Luter is about to accomplish is enormously significant. He is set to become the first black president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Amen and amen!!!!!!!!

Praise/Prayer Requests

My apologies for these going out so late, the week just got away from me.  

1.  Jennifer French - in the hospital and her brain is not functioning and there has been no improvement.  Also pray for the family as they have tough decisions to make.
2.  New York Mission Trip - safety
3.  Howard Family - in Lynchburg, power out with record high heat.
4.  Lily Frye - safety in travel to and from camp.  Safety while at camp.
5.  Linda - Goff's neighbor, out of work and now her AC is out completely and it will be over $ 3,500 to replace it.  Pray for encouragement and God's provision.
6.  Jimmy Howard - while GM is away, he is acting GM and has only been there a few months.  Big boss from corporate coming for a visit.  Pray Jimmy does well.
7.  Eden - 3 mth old, finally had the surgery on Friday of last week, continued prayer for recovery.
8.  Joyner Family - cyclist killed on 401 yesterday.  Pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding.  

Praise:  

1.  Pam Lister's Dad is doing well after breaking his femur and Pam is thankful for the time she got to spend with him in the days following the accident.
